In Good Hands.

Tuesday, November 03 2009
Aidan acts out of jealousy, JR is affected by a death, and Adam struggles to decide what to do next.

In the chapel, Aidan reads the message on the computer from Zach letting Kendall know it's almost over. Kendall rouses and asks if that was the computer she heard. Aidan says no, and urges her to go back to sleep. As she dozes, Aidan deletes the message. He goes to the cellar, and Kendall wakes up. She is about to look at the computer when Aidan returns with a bottle of wine he found. Kendall opens it and they share as they talk about themselves. Aidan tells her he's seen a different side of her in all this - her strength - he's enjoyed it. She remarks that it's like Greenlee used to have. Aidan agrees. Kendall says she's going to the creek in back to clean up.

Marissa runs into Tad in ConFusion. She tells him that JR is at the cancer center, and that he will join her later. She then admits to Tad that JR wants to have children with her. Marissa wonders if JR wants a child for the right reason - or because of the cancer - the chemo could prevent it if they wait. Tad notes that she's scared and urges her to look on the bright side - it would give JR more to fight for! Tad says it's a beautiful, logical step! Marissa smiles and nods.

At the cancer center, JR tells the doctor that he's anxious to see his buddy Trent. The doctor tells JR that Trent died that morning - he was good at not letting others know how sick he was. JR is stunned. The group starts, and JR thinks back to Trent telling him how he pushed his wife away because of the cancer. JR tells the group that no one wants to die alone - but Trent did.

At Stuart's grave, Adam is saying he doesn't deserve to live, when Annie appears and says he still has her. She explains that he shot Stuart because he was drugged up - he didn't know what he was doing. Adam is appalled that she's known all along and didn't tell him. Ryan and Erica come out of the shrubbery and Annie grabs Adam's gun and points it at them! Adam leaves, and Ryan urges Annie to put the gun down. Erica asks her to tell the truth and let her daughter come home. Annie gets teary-eyed and says the person who shot Stuart will have to pay for taking such a beautiful person from the world. She gives Ryan the gun and says, "Adam was going to shoot me, so I took the gun."

At the Chandler Mansion, Adam tells Scott that Annie has known the truth all along and she said nothing. Scott admits he's known for a while too. He explains that Annie wanted to protect him, and she convinced him that keeping quiet was best for him. Scott says he doesn't want to punish him - he didn't even know what he'd done! Adam thinks back to that night, and tells Scott it was like he was outside of himself - that's why he pulled the trigger. Scott says everything going on that night was enough to drive anyone over the edge. Adam marvels that he thought he was shooting himself, but he shot Stuart instead! Scott says Stuart would still love him - he never stopped loving him. Scott says he doesn't hate him either - he can't - he's all he has left.

Erica and Ryan are at the police station with Jesse. They tell him that Adam has remembered what happened and that Annie held a gun on them and basically admitted her guilt.

Jesse gets Annie in the police station and urges her to admit that she killed Stuart and then this will all be over! She narrows her eyes and says she wants a lawyer. Watching through the glass, Erica and Ryan compare notes on how Annie and Adam acted at the grave. Ryan says it all comes back to what Adam knows. Jesse walks out, and Ryan wonders why Adam would still be protecting her. Jesse says Annie wants a lawyer, and he can't hold her. Annie comes over and says she wants to press charges against Erica and Ryan - for what they've done to her and Adam! She issues a dire warning for them to leave her alone!

The police arrive at the Chandler Mansion on Jesse's behalf, to question Adam. Scott tries to get rid of them, but Adam tells him to let them in. The cops ask about the confrontation in the cemetery, adding that they have Annie Lavery in custody. Adam says it was very emotional and he's not sure what he could tell them. Scott informs them that Adam needs to go to bed, and the police leave. Adam is surprised that Annie didn't turn him in. Scott says Annie doesn't want him to be punished. Adam remarks about Kendall being innocent and on the run. Scott scoffs that she came there that night to kill him! Scott warns Adam that if he turns himself in their whole family will come crashing down. Annie gets home and explains that she kept his secret because she wants to be his wife and she doesn't want to lose him. Annie says she knew he wasn't in his right mind when it happened and she hoped he'd never remember. Adam insists he has to confess!

While Kendall is outside, Aidan sends a message to Zach on the computer. Posing as Kendall, he tells Zach, "I'm in good hands. Gotta' go, here he comes now." Kendall comes back into the chapel and teases Aidan about finishing the wine. She then says she's going to sleep. She looks longingly at the computer. When she falls asleep, Aidan posts a message for Kendall to read from Zach - telling Kendall she should thank Aidan for him. Kendall wakes up and reads the message.

In his jail cell, Zach reads the message from Kendall and is puzzled.

JR, still upset over the death of his friend, shows up at ConFusion and tells Marissa that he's changed his mind about having children. He then orders a scotch. Tad intervenes and they get into a shoving match. JR says he's going to find a place to have a drink in peace and heads out. Marissa asks Tad, "What happened to him?" Tad says they'll find out.

At the cancer center, Tad and Marissa learn about the death of Trent. JR appears and asks them if they're talking about him behind his back. Tad says they were concerned. JR says he left his phone behind and goes into the other room. Marissa follows and says she heard about Trent. JR tells her he loves her, but she has no idea what he's going through. JR wonders if he should be mountain-climbing or sky-diving, instead of ruining her life and making Tad upset. Suddenly, Tad and the doctor burst into the room. Tad says to JR, "Congratulations. You're in remission."

Still at the police station, Ryan stuns Erica and Jesse by saying, "What if Annie's telling the truth?" They are puzzled, but listen. Ryan theorizes that maybe she's been covering up for someone else all this time - maybe Adam shot Stuart!

Angie makes a deal with what devil Madison she is dead isnt she????or does she make a deal with David...and what kind of deal he has nothing on her except he hates the family cause they know what David is all about

**spoiler alert** - this from Soapnet on Monday, 11/02/09:

When Adam's tainted pills are brought to the hospital to be analyzed (thanks to Annie), Angie suspects David's been up to something and secretly tests the pills herself. She confronts David about the results, and he admits to switching the pill bottles. Something must be in the water at the Hubbard household, because Angie takes a page out of Jesse's book and ... well, we'd like you to see what she does and tell us if you think she's flat-out nuts or the shrewdest lady in Pine Valley (next to Erica, of course).

Maybe she'll become the chief of staff at the hospital and take some of David's power away - wouldn't THAT be a pleasant change?
On another note, am I to assume from reading the recap that suddenly Ryan is growing a brain? When did he have time to visit the Wizard? He certainly hasn't shown any intelligence for at least the past year, but we're to believe that - BAM!! - he has an epiphany. Yeah, right. Pratt found out that no one likes his golden boy anymore, or maybe TPTB at ABC noticed and told him (Pratt) to straighten up. Gosh, wouldn't that be great!!!

HipHopGrandman - don't get your hopes up on Pratt flying right. I'm sure it was just a momentarly lapse. My money is on the fact that since Kendall's out of touch and Greens has been "dead" for a while, the normal bllod flow has started to return to Ryan's brain from his, well, lower brain. It would be too much to hope for "smart" to be a permanent condition for ANY of the characters these days.

Armygirl2757

I think the "devil" is David.

I would love to see Angie go toe to toe with David...she always seems to put him in his place and i enjoy that because she is not a wimp like Amanda and Jake and she doesnt let David get the better of her... so why make a deal with him

I get that Scott does not want to punish his Uncle Adam. But when he told Adam all he wanted was justice for his father's death, I ask where is the justice in an innocent woman paying for a crime she did not commit? Where is the justice in 2 innocent boys growing up w/o their mother? And Marian, shouldn't she have a say in wanting justice for HER husband's death?

Posted by jumps at Tuesday, November 03 2009 12:26 PM

Wow, I officially detest Scott now. He sounds just like Adam. So, according to the almighty Chandler, Kendall wanted to kill Adam, therefore she should spend the rest of her life either in jail or on the run. And her children should grow up w/o a mother.

I hate what TIIC are doing to Aidan. He would NEVER act like this. PERIOD!

I can't understand why Scott and Adam are so dumb. Annie is going to blackmail Adam and Scott. She will also take half of what Adam and Scott have. They are so STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Ringleader at Tuesday, November 03 2009 12:29 PM

jumps - last I saw, Marian was off to the psych ward, so I don't think she even gets a say right now in whether she can have shoes with laces! I do see your point, but I have to keep coming back to the fact that there's a very, very good chance that Kendall would still be a free woman if she hadn't confessed to the crime. No one forced her to do that. No one blackmailed her or twisted her arm. So it's kind of hard for me to feel bad for Kendall at this point because her situation is entirely of her own making.
