Bill and Steffy share an interesting moment, Ridge presents Katie with a gift and Bridget and Nick make a decision about Sandy.
Steffy and Bill discuss his misconstrued nature and he says he likes to straddle the fence between bad and superbad. He likes to keep his adversaries guessing and Steffy says she’ll remember that. They discuss his reasons for buying Forrester and how she grew up. He sees some similarities between her and Katie and Steffy wonders if Katie really knows him. He says he’s not an open book, but he’s a good judge of people and Katie just needed someone to give her a chance to shine. When he believes in someone he gives them his backing completely and that’s what Steffy has: someone who believes in her. She asks to see the sword he wears on his chain and he says it’s symbolic of how he lives his life: never give up and never surrender. He knows Steffy will deliver and is willing to take risks and she says it’s important to take them when you know what you want. She wants to be his biggest success story because he has inspired her like no one else has. She wants to make her mark and turn FC into the company they know it can be. She wants to make him proud and hugs him and then kisses him.
A newly blond Sandy comes to meet a nervous Bridget and Nick at the office. They ask Sandy some questions and Nick wonders what her motivation is for being a surrogate. She admits the money is part of it, but she also loves children and it gives her a higher purpose.
Ridge and Brooke look over the proofs from the shoot and Ridge has hope this situation might work out. Katie walks in the office and says she’s swamped with wedding stuff. She doesn’t even have a dress and Ridge says maybe he can help. Katie asks if he can give her some opinions on her choices and he leaves for a minute.
Katie shows Brooke some ideas for her wedding dress and can’t believe Ridge is willing to help her. Ridge returns with a wedding dress he designed. He says he didn’t do it because Bill asked him to, he did it for Brooke. After Katie leaves to try it on, Brooke tells her husband, "You never cease to amaze me.”
After Sandy leaves, Nick and Bridget discuss how impressed they are with her, but Nick notes she seemed a little nervous. Bridget thinks that’s natural and they wonder if they should interview other candidates. Bridget can’t imagine finding anyone more qualified than Sandy because she feels like they are so much alike. Nick reminds her she isn't looking for a friend and Bridget agrees to meet other people. Nick leaves to bring Sandy back in and when she returns, the Marones tell her how impressed they are with her. She feels the same and would be honored to carry their baby. They tell her it’s possible they will choose her, but they want to talk to other candidates. Sandy explains she didn’t sleep very well last night because bringing a child into the world is an enormous responsibility and she doesn’t want to give a baby to a couple who might neglect or abuse it. She thinks they are great though and would find it fulfilling to help them live their dream of having a baby and would never regret her decision. She starts to leave, but Bridget stops her and after conferring with a hesitant Nick, they say they want her to be the surrogate.
Katie returns and says she loves the dress and cries as she thanks Ridge for loving her sister and being loyal to family. She will never forget this and hugs Ridge.
