Have a Nice Night!

Tuesday, November 03 2009
Billy gets more feedback on his expose, Cane and Lily get amorous, and Sharon learns about Nick and Adam's conversation.

Lily and Cane, at home, eat Halloween candy and talk about the kids who came to the door the night before. When he gives her a look of longing, she says he used to look at her like that all the time - she misses it! They begin kissing, but are interrupted by a knock at the door!

Michael visits Lauren at Fenmore's. He wants to get busy - there are no customers at the door! They kiss, then discuss Victor's situation - thanks to Billy's expose, the SEC is all over him!

At Crimson Lights, Gloria calls Michael, who isn't taking her calls. She tells Jeff that he's avoiding her. She then says she believes that John Abbott is responsible for putting them on track to get their money back. Jeff rolls his eyes as she points out that it was Billy Abbott who set it all in motion with his article. Michael soon arrives and looks over their bills. He says he'll subsidize them for a month, but Gloria says they don't want a handout - they want what is theirs! Michael says he will do what he can, but he won't sabotage Victor while he's at it. Michael leaves, and Jeff says he blew them off. Glo, however, thinks it may all turn out even better than they imagine - Michael won't let her down!

Amber is at Jimmy's Bar with Mac. They discuss Billy, and Amber tells Mac that she may see something different in him, but to the rest of the world he's just a jerk! Amber walks out as Billy walks in. He wants Mac to tell him they're fine, but she says they're not - and she's not sure they ever will be! She explains that she can't keep having this conversation with him - where she's disappointed and he makes it all better.

Abby comes downstairs at the Ranch and informs Ashley that she's not into another lecture about underage drinking. She tells her mother that she isn't going to ruin her life - she and Victor have already done that! Ash tells her to come straight home after school.

At home, Sharon and Noah discuss the article in Restless Style about Victor - he says kids will be making digs about it. He wonders if she was alone giving out candy last night. Sharon admits she had visitors and ended up having a really nice time!

In his office at Newman, Nick looks at a photo of him and his father and thinks about making him proud. Adam comes in, saying, "You wanted to see me?" Nick says he'll keep it brief, then tells him he needs to stay away from Sharon! Adam says it's not his call, but Nick doesn't care what he thinks! Adam insists they're just friends - he'd never do anything to hurt her. Nick smirks, and says he probably said that about Heather too. Nick informs Adam he's sending him away on a press junket. Adam tells him to enjoy sitting in Victor's chair while it lasts!

Amber arrives at Lauren's store, where she finds out that her jackets still aren't moving, but Lauren assures her it's the economy. Lauren thrills Amber by offering her a position as a designer at Fenmore's!

Billy and Mac are still arguing about the reasons behind him writing the Victor article at Jimmy's when Sharon walks in. Billy looks to her to back him up, but she says she came there to quit! Sharon confronts him about the article, and the implications for Noah and Abby. Billy says he didn't say a word about either of them! Sharon says they'll have to live with the fallout - and his attitude is exactly why she's quitting. She leaves, and Billy tells Mac, "At least I didn't get slapped this time!"

Eden and Noah are in Crimson Lights, and are joined by Abby and Daisy. An argument ensues among the girls as they bicker about Abby and Daisy using fake IDs, and whether or not having fashion sense is important. Amber comes in, and Abby tells her Daisy just got turned down for a job in the coffee house. Amber says she'll take her over and introduce her to Lauren - if she promises no more bar-crashing. Amber gives Daisy the address, and Lauren's name, and she heads out alone. Eden makes another snippy comment and Abby sneers, "You don't even know her!" Eden points out that she doesn't either!

Ashley pays Nick a visit at Newman. She informs him she is still on the board, regardless of the impending divorce - whether he likes it or not, he's stuck with her! They discuss her appointment to the board - she mentions that the way Victor shoved Colleen off the board was shameful. Ashley intends to do right by her position now. Nick tells her she'll find out his view for the company at the next meeting. They agree it's time for a whole new Newman!

Devon and Roxanne come into Lily and Cane's house. They visit, and Lily rather transparently tries to get rid of them so she can get romantic with her husband. Devon offers to relieve Cane for a while, but he says that's not at all necessary. Devon and Roxy are finally ushered out, and Lily and Cane vow not to answer the door the next time!

Lauren is about to close Fenmore's when Daisy comes in. She smothers Lauren in compliments, then tells her Amber sent her. She explains that she just met Amber last night, but she feels like she's known her forever. Lauren asks if Daisy has any experience. Daisy admits she doesn't, but insists she's reliable and learns quickly. Lauren tells her she'll call Amber to check with her, and if all is well - she's hired!

Michael turns up in Nick's office. He says he just came from a meeting - the SEC has latched on to the whole Caymans bank situation thanks to Billy's article. Michael says it appears as though Victor had inside information. Nick says he didn't, but Michael tells him that regardless, it's going to cost them big! He says a payoff is the only way to make this go away now.

Adam and Sharon meet up at her place. She tells him how good it felt to give Billy a piece of her mind and quit Restless Style. Adam points out that what he did to Victor was worse than what Billy did. She says at least he acknowledges it. Adam then tells Sharon that Nick warned him away from her and is sending him out of town! Sharon is angry - she says the power is going to Nick's head. Adam demurs that he's been cooped up at the Ranch anyway. Sharon says she'll miss him. Adam steps forward and pulls her into an embrace. He then steps back and says he'd better go. Sharon looks thoughtful.

Lauren shows up at Jimmy's Bar looking for Billy. As Mac listens, Lauren tells him she will be pulling all her future ads from Restless Style - she doesn't associate with publications that prefer sensationalism to substance. She says what he did was disgusting. As she leaves, Billy calls resignedly, "Have a nice night!" Mac tells him that she sees how hurt he gets when things turn out this way. She says that if Colleen were there she would assure him that those articles he wrote are not all he's about - he just needs to see that too.

Lily and Cane are in bed, where Lily frets about being bald. She remarks that she feels like someone from Star Trek. Cane tells her that she's beautiful. He says that being with her like this is a gift he never expected to have again - he doesn't want to mess it up. Lily says, "You won't."

Back at Crimson Lights, Daisy tells Amber that Lauren called - she got the job! Amber says they need to celebrate, Eden rolls her eyes, and Abby remarks that she'll have to start doing her retail therapy locally! Just then, Ashley comes in to find Abby - she informs her that they're going home - now!

Michael and Lauren locate Jeff and Gloria on the patio at Crimson Lights. Michael tells them that they will get their money for the Caymans bank debacle. They are thrilled. Lauren prompts them - don't they have someone to thank? Gloria says yes, and makes a toast - to Billy Abbott!

Next on The Young and the Restless:

Lily and Cane tell Neil that they renewed their vows!

Kay remarks to Jill that she's got another daughter out there somewhere. Jill muses, "The one you thought was me."

Chloe is telling Chance that she can be herself around him, when Nina and Phillip appear. When Phillip says, "We should just go," Chance bellows at him to go ahead and run - it's what he's so good at!

My skin is crawling from Adumster touching Sharon! Get me a barf bag!

Posted by juann at Monday, November 02 2009 11:40 AM

Good afternoon.
Nanas3, I know exactly what you mean about Adam touching Sharon. It is totally disgusting and sickening!!
I am not liking Abby's snobbish attitude at all. Her mother is trying to set some ground rules and all Abby wants to do is use the freakin'divorce as a excuse to tell everyone that her life is ruined. She's got a mother who is rich beyond rich, she still has her home at the ranch, what is so bad about her life. I am glad that Ashley is getting her strength back and is becoming a good mother who is using excellent parenting skills and laying down some ground rules.
I was also glad to see Ashley pay a visit to Nick and tell him that she isn't going anywhere, she is still on the board of directors at Newman. This is the Ashley whom we all grew to love...the savvy business woman!
Billy boy is skating on real thin ice with Mac. He had better watch it because Mac is liable to ban him from the bar if he doesn't straighten up!! The only drinking Billy will be doing is at the Genoa City Athletic Club if that happens.
I am glad that Sharon quit her job at Restless Style and gave Billy a piece of her mind. However, Sharon telling Adam that the power of being in charge at Newman is going straight to Nick's head is just pure crap in my opinion. I have not been a fan of Nick's in the recent past because of all his flip-flopping back and forth between Sharon/Phyllis, but this time I am in Nick's corner. That piece of trash named Adam stole Nick and Sharon's baby and now Adam is trying to come on to Sharon and create a friendship with her. This just makes me sick.
Give Sharon her baby back... PLEASE!!!
LMAO at Gloria toasting Billy Abbott for getting the ball rolling so she can get her money back. This woman is Nuts, but I still love her anyway. She is too freakin obsessed with money to credit her son with all his hard work so she can get her money back. What a ding bat!!
Have a good day.

I am so glad they are bringing back up Kay's daughter. I have been wondering about this for a long timee. Now if they don't drag it out forever. I can't wait to see who it turns out to be.

Whooooeee loving me some Cane.

Can someone tell me who Daisy is? Some random friend of Abby's or is she connected to someone?

Billy has not grown up. He was starting to change but things changed when he had to leave Mac. At least Mac sees him for who he is. She was the reason he started to change back in high school. She believed he could be more than a sploit rich kid acting like a jerk. He just needs to believe he be more.

Adam hugging Sharon? Uggghhh! How delusional is he? Has he no conscience ? The guilt alone should make him avoid her at all costs much less touch the woman. This s/l sucks big time

I wish Nick would stop threatening Adam about Sharon because that is only making him more determined to pursue her. Now that Sharon has quit her job that she never actually started, I'm sure Adam is going to suggest that she go away with him on his business trip. And because she wants to make a point with Nick, and because she is brain-dead, she will accept. I almost gagged when Adam said that he would never do anything to hurt Sharon. I really can't believe that the writers are actually going to make us endure a romance between Adam and Sharon. I keep thinking something is going to happen to prevent it, but no one knows the secret but Dr. Taylor, and he seems to have disappeared. That child will be in college before Sharon finds out. I keep waiting for something to happen to jar Sharon's memory like a six week exam with her doctor or maybe finally questioning her baby's birth, but she is so busy with her brand new friend that she is not questioning anything. I have always defended her, but she is really proving to be an air-head. You would think that the horrible things that Adam did to Victor would be enough for her to stay away from him, but because Victor has forgiven him, and because she has done so many terrible things herself, she is willing to forgive him. So between her forgiveness, her loneliness, and her resentment that Nick is trying to keep them apart, her dumb brain has decided that this is the relationship that she want to pursue. So we might as well get ready for this nauseating duo. PLEASE LET THIS END SOON.

That last line should have read "the relationship that she WANTS to pursue"

Just last week I thought Lauren was telling Amber her jackets weren't selling and that she was fully staffed. Phyllis even commented that was a good answer fully staffed. Now today, she hires Amber as a designer and no experience Daisy on her fully staffed floor?? These writers cannot be consistant with the past, heck they cannot be consistant with last week's dialogue!!

Another backwards thing--All summer all the teenagers disappeared. Now for November when all the kids are back in school they bring on the teenager storylines??

Billy Abbott please let your next editorial be about the dumb butt writers screwing up The Young and the Restless.

I would like to suggest that Mac mumbles even more than Victor. I know I dog this character but seriously it's like the school teacher sound effect used in the Charlie Brown shows.

I felt nauseous when reading that Adam hugs Sharon but I felt another wave of nausea when reading that Roxanne had her behind back around Devon.

Ashley where's Sharon's baby??? If you're not going to bond with her let Sharon. Maybe you could get Sharon to come over and be Faith's nanny since she needs a job and you are so busy chasing Abby now.

Morning All:
Here we go again, Dee & Dumb get rewarded, again, for their wrong doings. First, they continue to live in a penthouse with no money. Second, they helped a wanted criminal to escape (I think its called aiding and abetting-the catwoman), third, receiving stolen goods the inked ransom money). These are just some of their crimes in the last 3 months. When do the Fishers/Bardwells ever pay for their crimes?

And Ashley has spent the last nine months of soap life verging on pure insanity and now suddenly after the birth of "her" child, she is suddenly the picture of sanity and good sense and is capable of raising a baby, a rebellious teenager, running a large household, and being a Newman boardmember, Pleeese!

And lastly, if Sharon and Damien are hooked up and she sleeps with him, I am not even going to read about Y&R much less watch it. When do these people ever pay for their crimes in GC? How gullible and naive will they allow Sharon's character to get? And how much punishment and torture does she have to receive, and for what? If they let Sharon go down that slippery slope of couch sex with "the evil seed", I'm done with it all. 7:04am

Goglo, I think we all share your sentiments about Sharon. I was proud and happy that they seemed to be making her stronger and wiser, but now they are making her act stupid and needy again. She is angry with Nick for caring about her, so I'm sure they are going to link her with THE Sadistic One. Maybe if she sat down and talked to Nick to find out exactly why he hates him so much, maybe she would understand, but her knee-jerk reaction is to get angry with him. She and Ashley had the quickest mental health therapy that I have ever seen. I think both of them should have spent at least another 6 months in that institution. Their miraculous recoveries are just too amazing. If Sharon and Adam get together, which it looks like they will, I will be totally convinced that the writers are enjoying jerking our chains. They got us all up in arms about Victor leaving, then they miraculously came to an agreement with him at the last minute. I still think that was all a big scam. Now they are going to torture us with a Sharon/Adam duo, knowing how we all hate Adam. For some reason they are happy when we are up in arms about something and threatening to boycott. I guess in their minds, they have our attention even if it is negative attention. Personally I resent being jerked around like that. I kn

I know every show has evil characters that you love to hate, but their reign of terror shouldn't last this long. I guess after they torture us for 2 or 3 months with an affair between Adam and Sharon, and when we have all resorted to reading the updates because we can't watch anymore, they will bring closure to the story and give Sharon her baby back. They don't realize that sometimes you play games and take risks with your fans, only to have them turn away from your show and never return. It happens all the time.
